Summary:
Educate and instruct others regarding awareness and respect for wildlife and conservation efforts by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned

• Develop age appropriate curricula using the subjects of awareness of and respect for wildlife and conservation.
• Develop and use creative activities to convey the subject matter, such as games, crafts and Lupazoo tours.
• Share knowledge of zoology, ecology, conservation, science and the Lupazoo with children and families.
• Teach classes and workshops to children and families.

Supervisory Responsibilities :
There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent preferably in early childhood education or primary grades from two-year college or technical school; or 2 years experience working with children, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. College-level education with course work in the natural sciences or education. Ability to work as a team, and independently with little supervision. Demonstrated teaching ability. Ability to develop creative lesson plans. Knowledge of state and national educational standards, early childhood development and educational practices and of Lupazoo, zoology, ecology, and conservation. Enthusiastic and customer-service orientated. Enjoy working with children.
